Nothing can separate us from God's Love

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38-39

Your faith has made you well

And Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?” And the blind man said to him, “Rabbi, let me recover my sight.” And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.

Those who WALK in Integrity #OneWord2016 #Walk

For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who WALK in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints.

Proverbs 2:6-8

Do Not Fear & Only Believe

But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.”

Mark 5:36

Things that make you go hmmm...

Jesus said 2 things in this particular situation:

1.) Do not fear

2.) Only believe

That's pretty clear to me. He doesn't want us to be afraid, hence the 'do not fear' part of HIS statement.

He says all we have to do is to 'only believe' - only believe.

Do not fear and only believe.

I just love Him! He makes things so easy for us. We make things hard and he shows us how to keep it simple.

Your faith has made you well

And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”

Mark 5:34

Jesus told the lady that her faith healed her. She truly believed deep down in her heart that Jesus would heal her. She believed it so much that she thought if she could only touch him her problem would be solved. That's exactly what happened! Jesus healed her because of her faith in him. Afterward, he told her to go in peace. She had nothing else to do but to relish in the healing of her disease. I think that's pretty darn cool!

Have you still no faith?

He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?”

Mark 4:40

Jesus asked a direct question about their faith. Once again Jesus is looking at their faith in Him. Faith is a product of what you will find deep down in a person's heart. Faith matters. Faith in Jesus is a matter of the heart. No one can tell you that your FAITH in God is not good enough. It's not up to them, it's up to Him.

Faith for the Forgiveness of Sins

And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”

Mark 2:5

Jesus saw their faith first and then sins were forgiven.

Forgiveness of sins is a matter of the heart between you and God.

Please don't place limits on God's power by telling people they need to be baptized in order for their sins to be forgiven.

Knock it off!

Dissecting Romans 10:8-13

The Word is right in front of you when you're reading the Bible. Pray that God will give you eyes to see and ears to hear.

I'm in the mood to dissect in order to comprehend what the text says. Don't take my word for it. Open up your Bibles and read it for yourself.

Let's begin, shall we?

But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); (Romans 10:8-13)

The Word of FAITH. Got it!

because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:8-13)

So, if I CONFESS with my mouth that JESUS IS LORD and I BELIEVE in MY HEART that GOD raised HIM from the dead......I WILL BE SAVED.

The text doesn't say I might be saved. It says I WILL BE SAVED.

It's not that hard, people. That's why they call it GOOD NEWS.

HE paid the price. HE is the only one who is without sin.

Did you read my previous post? It's the blood of Christ. JESUS paid the price once for all time.

CONFESS and BELIEVE! It's not that hard. Why? Because He loves us that much.

For with the heart one believes and is justified, (Romans 10:8-13)

That's why they call it SAVING FAITH.

and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
(Romans 10:8-13)

You internalize this process with your brain.

Once again, that's why it's called a FAITH that SAVES. That's ultimately how we are redeemed AND forgiven.

For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” (Romans 10:8-13)

Well what do you know? The words are right there in front of you. THINK.

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. (Romans 10:8-13)

God is fair and just. All you have to do is call on Him. Ask him to heal you and open the eyes of your heart.

For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”(Romans 10:8-13)

EVERYONE......Look at that! Call on the name of the Lord and you WILL be SAVED.

Don't let anyone tell you different.

If anyone tells you something different from what the text says you have to question their motivation to control and manipulate.

There are plenty of great bible-based churches out there that don't misuse or mistreat their congregation.

If you attend a church that says you can't be saved if you don't go to their church stay far far away from them. They are more than likely a cult.

Dissecting Ephesians 1:7

Let's break it down, shall we?

In him we have REDEMPTION through HIS blood (Ephesians 1:7)

Who do we have redemption in? JESUS
How does all this work? Through HIS blood
Who are we talking about? JESUS

the FORGIVENESS of our trespasses (Ephesians 1:7)

So many misinformed people attend churches that believe wholeheartedly you can't be forgiven or redeemed by God unless you are baptized.

According to this verse REDEMPTION comes through the blood of Christ, the FORGIVENESS of our TRESPASSES.

You cannot redeem yourself. You are NOT without sin. You are NOT God. Baptism just like everything else is a product of your FAITH in Christ's work on the cross.

The Bible says if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, you will be saved. (Look for my next post. We'll dissect that verse too.)

according to the riches of HIS grace (Ephesians 1:7)

According to what? The riches of HIS grace. Who is this about? JESUS

HE is God, you are NOT.

Dissecting Titus 3:5

Titus 3:5 sure does tell us a lot. Let's break it down, shall we?

HE saved us (Titus 3:5)

HE saved us. HE is God. HE did it! That was HIS work on the cross. HIS work cannot be duplicated.

NOT because of works done by us in righteousness (Titus 3:5)

Being a good person and doing good things or going through the motions is NOT why HE saved us.

but according to HIS own mercy (Titus 3:5)

This is about HIS mercy. HE is Holy.

by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5)

It's NOT about you. It's about HIM.

Now go read verses 6 and 7 and tell me again who this is about......pray to have eyes that see and ears to hear.

HE Saved Us

To say that good works must be present BEFORE a person is saved is to make salvation dependent on our obedience, which is works-salvation, not salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. As Titus 3:5 declares, “He saved us – not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.”

Walks Not

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;  but his delight is in the law of the LORD , and on his law he meditates day and night.

Psalm 1:1-2

The Lord did it all

Jesus paid the price in full.
Jesus said to trust him.
It’s that simple.

Whoever Believes

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.

John 6:47

The Bread of Life

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.  But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe.  All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.  For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.  And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

John 6:35-40

What Must We Do?

Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”

John 6:28-29

For God So Loved the World

“that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.” – John 3:15

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” – John 3:17

“Whoever believes in him is not condemned already, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” – John 3:18

“And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.” – John 3:19

“For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.” – John 3:20

“But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.” – John 3:21
